Meguido...La Historia:

Con la inclusión de Diego Francisco (bajista) a PJ (voz), a Alexis Durán (batería), y a Antoine Durán (guitarra) hace casi un año, se completa el grupo de músicos dispuestos a hacer algo nuevo. Los hermanos tenían como objetivo salir a la calle y “rockear” lo que creían; por su parte (y en un lugar no muy lejano) Diego Fran también tenía el deseo de decir lo mismo al mundo... fue aquello en lo que creían lo que los unió para formar Meguido.

Meguido ha tocado en varios lugares de Quito, siendo la presentación más importante el concierto anual en la Concha Acústica de la Villaflora. Han compartido el escenario con importantes agrupaciones de la escena nacional, tales como: Falk, Crossfire, Epidemia, Decapitados, Evangelion, Doulos, Angel Blanco, No Retornable, etc.

El vocalista (PJ) decidió desistir del objetivo planteado hace un tiempo atrás...y ese fue el momento en que se demostró la madurez que ya estaba alcanzando el grupo, los que quedaron lograron salir adelante a pesar de esa fuerte baja, y lo hicieron con tanto ánimo que hasta lograron grabar sin ninguna complicación su primer sencillo llamado SANGRE Y FUEGO.

Y los conciertos seguirán, y habrán más ideas y obviamente más problemas, pero nunca éstos músicos se olvidarán de su primer gran objetivo por el cual juntaron unos pocos instrumentos y un par de voces: CANTARLE A LA SOCIEDAD ALGO DIFERENTE porque en los últimos tiempos la música (en casi todos los géneros) se ha degradado de tal manera que se ha vuelto vacía sin ningún tipo de mensaje más que palabras repetitivas y sin sentido. Entonces por qué no hacer música diferente y con mensaje... ése fue el objetivo de la música desde aquellos tiempos en los que el mejor instrumento era un par de piedras o un maltrecho tambor: EXPRESAR LO QUE SE LLEVA DENTRO DEL CORAZÓN, Meguido logra con el mayor cuidado posible dar a conocer al mundo lo que llevan en sus corazones: ¡¡¡DIOS!!!

With the inclusion of Diego Francisco (bass guitar) to the group conformed by PJ (vocals), Alexis Durán (drums), and Antoine Durán (guitar) nearly a year ago, this group of musicians was complete and ready to make something new. The brothers had their aim to go out to the streets and “rock” what they believe; on the other hand (and in a place not so far away) Diego Fran had the desire to say the same to the world… It was what they believed which unite them all to form the band Meguido.

Meguido had performed in many places in the city of Quito, being its most important performance the annual concert of Concha Acústica. They have shared the scenario with important bands among the Ecuadorian environment such as: Falk, Crossfire, Epidemia, Decapitados, Evangelion, Doulos, Angel Blanco, No Retornable, etc.

The singer (PJ) decided to leave the objective traced some time before… and that was the moment when the maturity the band was tested, because they kept going against this trouble, and they did it with such strength they recorded without any problem they first single called SANGRE Y FUEGO (Blood and Fire).

And the presentations will continue, and there will be more ideas and more problems obviously, but this group of musicians will never forget their primary objective which initially joined a few instruments and a pair of voices: SING TO THE SOCIETY SOMETHING DIFFERENT because these days (in almost every genre) the music has degraded in such way that it has became empty without any kind of message more than repetitive and no-sense lyrics. Then why not make music with a message… this was the reason of music since those days when the best instrument was a pair of rocks and an odd drum: EXPRESS WHAT’S INSIDE THE HEART, Meguido achieves this carefully enough in order to make the world understands what’s inside their hearts: GOD!!!
